About Zac

Zac McClenahan is Practice Growth Lead at Royse Partners Limited, where he works with companies and strategic partners to identify and capture R&D Tax Credit opportunities across a variety of industries.

Zac brings a combination of business development and hands-on tax credit experience to his work. Having sat on both the sourcing and consulting side of R&D studies, he gives companies a direct read on whether they qualify and what the credit is worth.

Over the better part of the past decade, Zac has worked across technology and private equity. He served as a strategic growth manager for a technology company before moving into deal sourcing for mid-market private equity firms, evaluating companies across technology, real estate, healthcare, and family-owned services. Combined with his consulting experience on the R&D credit, that background gives him a practical view of the changes and challenges a company is working through, and the meaningful impact of R&D incentives.

Education

Zac earned both his Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in business strategy and his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida.

Personal

Though Zac now calls Houston home, growing up between Zimbabwe, France, and Florida gave him an early appreciation for world travel and exploring unique places and cultures. He still travels whenever time allows, and he has the goal of backpacking most of the major national parks. The rest of his free time goes to a golf game he insists is improving, cheering on the Florida Gators, and Bear, a black lab who would rather nap than hike.
